Day by day 5-day tour

Book
  • Morning: Depart from Siem Reap around 8:30 AM for a first immersion along the river through traditional fishing villages. We stop at the hill of Phnom Krom, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia's largest freshwater reserve. We then take a unique trail into the heart of the floodplains to witness the vastness of this vital ecosystem. Lunch is served in a peaceful garden restaurant back in Siem Reap.

Afternoon: Head toward the West Baray, a titanic reservoir dug during the Khmer era to irrigate Angkor. We loop around it via dirt tracks, discovering the ancient stone bridge of Spean Memay. Return to the hotel around 5:00 PM via quiet riverside trails.

    • Overnight: Siem Reap (Hotel with pool).

  • Morning: Head for Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain where the Khmer Empire was born. We follow the riverbanks to the "Hamac Café" before exploring the highlights: a hike to the River of a Thousand Lingas, and a visit to the Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its 8-meter reclining Buddha. Local lunch in Svay Leu after a winding descent down the eastern slope.

Afternoon: Venturing deep into the countryside, we discover a hidden gem: a freshwater mangrove forest nestled around an unknown spring. Depending on your preference, this stop can be replaced by a visit to the majestic Beng Mealea temple. The return to Siem Reap follows peaceful backroads between Trav Kot Lake and the Chau Srei Vibol temple, offering the perfect chance to stop in the lush rice paddies.

    • Overnight: Siem Reap (Same hotel).

  • Morning: 8:30 AM departure heading east to reach Spean Praptos, a thousand-year-old laterite bridge still used by locals today. After a refreshment break and photos, we continue toward the seasonal lake of Kampong Svay—the perfect spot for a local meal by the water, just 20 km from our final stop for the day.

Afternoon: Continue to Kampong Thom, a typical Cambodian town on the road to the capital. Early arrival in the afternoon to enjoy the pool and relax before a special evening experience at dusk. This is the midpoint of the journey: the motto is relaxation followed by a great dinner and a comfortable night.

    • Overnight: Kampong Thom (Traditional bungalow with pool).

  • Morning: 8:00 AM departure for the Sambor Prei Kuk archaeological park. This pre-Angkorian site, nestled in the forest, is ideal for a serene two-hour exploration. We then take a faster route through the countryside (120 km) toward Preah Vihear province for lunch.

Afternoon: After a peaceful meal with plenty of time to rest (or an optional loop by a nearby lake), we cover the final 50 km to Koh Ker. The shaded road winds through cassava fields. Settle into an authentic guesthouse for a quiet evening in the heart of the forest zone.

    • Overnight: Koh Ker (Comfortable Guesthouse).

  • Morning: At 8:30 AM, explore Prasat Thom, the iconic seven-tiered pyramid of Koh Ker that towers over the canopy. After discovering the surrounding ruins, we begin an adventurous crossing on red dirt tracks through the remote villages of the northern Kulen massif. This is an authentic glimpse into rural life, featuring local markets and timeless landscapes.

Afternoon: Stop at Kbal Spean for a 1.5 km jungle hike leading to the waterfall and famous underwater carvings. Finally, we visit the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB) to learn about their endangered species rescue programs. A relaxed ride back to Siem Reap closes the adventure. After dropping the bikes at the garage around 5:00 PM, a tuk-tuk will be provided to take you back to your hotel or your next destination.
